New England Top Vacations: Rhode Island

Rhode Island is the smallest state in the union, yet offers as varied an experience as any other New England state. From the walkable city of Providence, to the historic Newport mansions, the state can be a journey of it’s own. However, if you want to get outdoors and enjoy some of the best bike paths in the nation, you need to plan your getaway along the Blackstone Valley Bikeway. This path winds from the southern part of Massachusetts all the way down through Providence, RI and connects to the East Bay Bike Path along the Providence River to Bristol which is all part of the 3000 mile East Coast Greenway.
